Hi, finding the best stories in NYC is my job.

I'm a writer and a journalist. And since I'm German, I deliver articles mainly to German media. Oh, you can't read any German? Try my Twitter account to stay tuned. You would like me to interview yourself or your client? Get in touch and propose a story.

See you?!

+ Stand and deliver?

Well, though I'm quick like a shot, I don't steal.

I make money because I deliver - which I have proven in different fields of journalism and literature.

For instance, I was editor-in-chief at two lifestyle magazines (4 years at Heimatdesign and 1 1/2 years at now-defunct Galore). I taught interview skills and creative writing at several German schools and universities. I hosted conferences and interview programs at major events like Frankfurt Book Fair. I was booked for readings with my short stories.

And yes, that was in German. If you do read German, go to the p.eng page to review some articles I wrote. If you don't, check my Twitter account for events held in English.

+ I focus on people.

I talk to them. I watch what they do.

I write portraits, interviews and reportage about people in culture, science and economics.

This is a handful of New Yorkers who I interviewed:

James Frey  |  Suzanne Vega  |  Jon Spencer  |  Dr. Thomas Bolte  |  Patricia Field

Joshua Davis  |  Martin Schoeller  |  Ronny Spector  |  Daryl Palumbo

Maybe one day, you'll find your name here, too.

* p.eng

No, I am not a professional engineer. Still, my business is called p.eng.

In German, peng is the equivalent to what you would call bang
(like in bang, bang, you're dead).

Second, it's a short version of my first name and last name.

Third, it's the way I work: Quick like a shot. And shooting on target.

Don't worry: Since I don't consider life a war, I won't fire live bullets.
